Old Memories

I can still recall the excitement leading up to September 15th in my home state of Michigan awaiting the opener of small game season. Particularly squirrel. In the days preceding the opener, gathering game vests, stocking up on shotgun shells, and learning to love the taste of coffee at a young age, were just parts of my life. The countless hours spent walking through the woods with my brother and father chasing the elusive bushytail molded my spirit to enjoy nature and the act of hunting. I hope and pray those grand memories never leave me even when I reach old age.
